An animal lover from a very young age, Kim has spent her life caring for and learning about animals of all kinds.
“I’ve been an Animal Person all my life and have always been able to find refuge in my interactions with animals, no matter what the species. Animals are so honest and loving. I’ve always felt a special kinship with them. I always feel at home with them.”
When she was a teenager Kim enjoyed many years of riding horses and she went on to earn a BA in Equine Studies from Virginia Intermont College in Bristol, Virginia. After graduation she moved back to Colorado and also became involved in dog sports. Kim has been training & showing dogs for over 25 years. She's currently involved in several dog sports including Agility, Barn Hunt, Lure Coursing & Trick Dog Training.
She has also been involved with dog rescue for over 20 years. Fostering, transport & evaluations are some of the areas she has assisted with. In recent years she has been able to spend time in shelters & with rescue groups, working with the Healing Touch for Animals® Volunteer group and donating her animal communication services for animals in need. With this work she's had the privilege of assisting a wide variety of species including dogs, cats, guinea pigs, birds, lizards, turtles & donkeys.
Kim lives in Denver with her husband Doug and their three K9 kids - Vinnie, Dash & Riff.
